Hi.. Im a currently studying too.. I used to have academic scholarship in my school. It's automatic for students who got an average of 1.00 to 1.75. But because Im graduating, I took less than 10 units last term, I did not qualify for the academic scholarship though my average is high. But I still have two other scholarships, from alumni of our school. The maintaining average is not really high because they prefer poor students. for sure, there would be scholarships in your school that require not too high maintaining grade. why dont you try it, there's nothing to lose.. My scholarship benefactor is really kind. And he doesnt really care much about our grades. He is happy helping us. On my part, I just do my best so he'll be proud of me.. Having scholarship will make you inspired!

When I was looking for a college to get a degree I searched for the cheapest yet well respected school because I did not want to burden my parents too much any longer. When I found a college funded by the local government I opted to enroll there. When I had the chance to enroll to that University and was about to pay my tuition fee I was surprised because I did not have to pay anything due to the fact that the school was funded by the local government, I was born and raised as well as graduated from a high school which was under the jurisdiction of the local government. So in essence I was a scholar and my parents were so proud of me. Later when classes started I was surprised to know that almost all the student there were like me with scholarships but there were others who had other scholarships funded by other people, so I felt that I was just a normal student and those with other scholarships were the real scholars. Well after that I did not apply for any other scholarships anymore because I told myself I'm already a scholar no need to be greedy and ask for more. So that is my story. You say that you know the limits of your ability, but why don't you try for a scholarship? It will help you not only financially but it will also motivate you to strive to better yourself. I know that for a fact because it did happen to me. Since I was afraid that if I failed I'll lose my scholarship I tried to be the best of who I am and in the end it was well worth it. Don't be afraid to try things such as scholarships, just pretend that its like a job interview for your future.
