Tomorrow is are 4 year anv. and we don't have much money since rent is due on the 1 st. So I decide to make my husband something for are anv. I went to Wall_mart and bought this scrap booking kit for 20 bucks. It had over 1000 things in there plus a really nice album to but all my pages in. I got all my pictures out of us and a few wedding pictures. I started this morning when I woke up and it toke me all day long because I had 3 kids running around like there heads where cut off. After my husband got off work he came home and I gave it to him and he started crying. I asked him what was wrong he said that is the most special thing anyone was ever made or gave him. It's better then if you would have went and bought me something. He loved it and it made me feel so good that he loved it. I worked really hard on it for him.

Awwww, how sweet. Sometimes a handmade gift made with love is more important than any bought gift. The thought behind these gifts and the time it takes to make them is a gift of love right from the heart. Your husband is a lucky man to have you.

Helloo carolbee,
Thanks for the sweet comment. I love making gifts for people rather then buy them for them. Most of the time I don't have time to make them.

That is a beautiful gift, and I'm so glad that he appreciated the effort you put into it. Scrapbooks are one of my all-time favourite gifts to give. I have to say though that I'm really impressed. I have three kids and I never get to scrapbook during the day - sometimes it takes me a week to finish one page.

See, special occassions do not have to cost a lot of money, with a little imagination and creativity you can always come up with something special. Most people prefer gifts that were made especially for them. that shows how special the occassion is to them. Good job!!!!

Hello dudalunts,
Thanks for the comment. I would rather have something made just for me then some that cost alot of money. It shows how much they really care for you. That you toke the time and effort to make something. It's big enough that I can add to it every year on are anv. Have a great day and god bless!

That is something he will treasure forever! I think you can do so much with scrapbooks. It is so exciting to find all the materials and start working on something like you have. I made one for each of my grandchildren who have graduated from high school. They love theirs. I did one last year and one this year, but it will be another 4 years before another grandchild graduates. So I'm going to have to find something else to scrapbook for. But I wonder how in the world you did it in one day! Man, it took me a long time - over a week, to do each of the ones I did. But I did add a hold folder of extra pages in the ones I did.

Hello barb,
Thanks for the comment. My mother also has started scrapbooks for each one of my childern. I don't know how I did it in one day . I was like 10 pages front and back. I just knew I had to get it done for him on time. Have a great day and god bless!
