how will I convince myself?

Personally, I would say just don't. It's not worth it for you to spend your life doing something you don't enjoy. And besides, this isn't just spending four or five years pursuing something you dislike--you are studying engineering to prepare you for a job related to it, so that's a lifetime of something you dislike. If you don't plan on being an engineer, then it's better to get an early start switching to something you do like and also generates money. Good luck. :)

you know what... i used to have that problem before. 3 years ago after graduation in high school, my parents wanted to me to take up nursing. just like your parents they will not send me to college if i didn't pursue that course.. see? i had no choice but to obey them.i'm now in my 4th year and hopefully next year i will be able to graduate. to answer your question, you said that your now in 4th yr. i believe that engineering is a 5 year course right? just think about that 4 years that you've wasted... set in your mind that you only have 1 more year and your done...

hehehe i experienced the same thing when im still on the 6th grade, i really don't want to go to school anymore coz i feel lazy waking up early in the morning (around 4:30am coz i will leave the house at 5:30) my mom is pushing me to go to school everyday. then one day i realized that if i will not study or go to school, i will be ignorant in many things. & one more thing if you finish your school you'll never know how much your parents feel coz they are really proud.. PS your in your 4th year now & 1 more year to go, you should continue it coz imagine you sacrificed almost how many years then you will exchange it for just one year.. think about it & im sure you will convince yourself to go to school everyday.. goodluck!

well,just think that your doing it for your future man.. its for your own good.. just dont mind the hardway or dont think that you dont like what youre doing even though you really dont like it.. just enjoy .. im a programmer but im dumb! but i still enjoying it.. hehehe...
