Healthy life?

Everyone needs a few hours of solid sleep a night,but as we get older the amount needed decrases significantly.I like to get around seven hours if im to function properly,if i am deprived of sleep i just dont seem to function well at all.But imagine when the prisoners of war were kept awake endlessly as a form of torture,what an awful thing to happen.

Sleeping five hours at night is required for a normal healthy human being.But taking noon nap is bad for health.
