1 dollar for one topic?

I wonder if it is possible to earn 1 dollar just by posting one discussion here in mylot. Has anyone tried it? maybe it is possible but I think it will be a really really long post. But even if it’s possible, I don’t think I will attempt to posts a discussion that long. I don’t want to attempt to write a really long posts here …more or less 5,000 words I guess because even if I will get 1 dollar for it I doubt if anyone will have the time nor the interest to read my posts as it is soooo long. It will be too time consuming. Besides if it is that long, its going to be boring already and maybe no one would d respond as I have said everything that there is to be said in the posts.

I agree with you that a very long post wouldn't earn you much. MyLot pays for participation and quality posts, not just for length. If you start a discussion with a long post it may get no responses and you would earn nothing from it. Some poeple will be put off from responding just by the length of the post.
Your discussion will earn more by getting a lot of good responses to it. You could earn a dollar from a single discussion if it's a topic that really attracts people to reply to it. If you comment on the responses and it stays in the top discussions, gets into the myLot digest and goes on getting responses, that discussion can easily earn a dollar over the days and weeks.
I earned more than a dollar one day at myLot when I was getting responses in my own discussions and commenting on them. I wrote very few responses in other discussions that day but they were long ones and I was reading and rating other response posts too.

I think you can if you have any idea of posting that long. Scramble the words. I just don't have any idea for posting right now, my mind goes blank if i got hungry. LOLGood luck !!! :D

I can't say if I ever seen that done before here. I have seen some rather large posts, but don't think they got close to a dollar for it.
You are right about many will not read it. Sometimes it's all I can do to get them to read past the title, LOL.
I reckon it never hurts to try though. If you do give it a shot you will have to update us on how it goes. Who knows maybe if we post a book, we will get 2 dollars, LOL.
