It is not strange that dog is as smart as a kid of 8 years old. And pet dog is even smarter. It can know what you say and can tell you body language. If you have more than one dog, when you stroke one of them you should continue to stroke other ones. Their jealousy is more obvious than man.

Oh yes. I have two dogs, one is a Lab and the other is a Border Collie mix and they are very jealous. Whenever I go out to play with them they almost knock me over in the process of trying to be "first" and push one another out of the way. It is funny sometimes. They remind me of kindergarten children. :)

Awwe! That is really sweet. Can be annoying at times especially when you really need to have him fed right? Yeah actually I can believe that and I have experienced it. Not with my own dog(we only have one) but with my friends dogs. There was one dog who was very energetic but once he feels that he's being left out of not the center of attention anymore or that when we notice the other dogs more than him he makes a riot. He would bark and bark and jumps and spins around until at least someone will notice him.LOL! Its funny to watch but sometimes it gets pretty annoying. Ive seen this jealousy thing with cats too. We had two cats before and one would always want to have what the other has. I mean when I pick one up and put him on my chest and cuddle him or something like that, the other would jump on me and try to squeeze himself beside me and the other cat and would actually rub her head on me trying to get attention. Its nice though. Too bad we dont have them anymore. They stayed at our old house when we moved.

Dogs can be jealous just like humans. If you've had one dog first then get a second one they are going to want your attention if they see you playing with the other dog more at first, so you have to try and pay attention and the same amount with both of them so they don't feel left out.
