Ok everyone or most everyone knows that there was a 5.4 earthquake in Southern California yesterday on July 29, 2008. Well anyways, my good friend has a little boy who just turned 10 years old. He was so freaked out about the whole thing and not really because the earthquake freaked him out but because of all the commotion on the news, and his grandparents talking about it, etc.
So her son got so scared and freaked out by it all that he asks, no I mean he begs his mom to please take him to Chuck E Cheese. So, she took him because he was so shaken up about the whole thing.
I thought that was hilarious! He never remembered any other earthquakes before and now is kind of traumatized by it all.
Poor thing.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!

I would have probably had someone take me back to Minnesota~! I would have been terrified too! We have an occasional tornado.....we have occasional blizzards...but I don't think I would like to be around an earthquake! It would be scarey for an adult! I can't imagine what a child would think!

I grew up there and left when I was 31 years old. Earthquakes don't really terrify me since I am used to them. It is concerning but not terrifying to me. At least with a tornado you get a warning so you can seek shelter. With an earthquake you are doing whatever and the next second the whole earth, your house, whatever starts moving back and forth. It is a very strange sensation.

Kids are funny. I remember when our dog got killed. I asked my parents to take me to Whitford ( a place where we used to go swimming) even though it was probably april and like 56 degrees outside. We were wearing jackets at the time. As you can imagine we did not get to go. I'm glad your friends son got to GO to Chuckie cheese. Always a hit with little kids.

That is an adorable story! He finds comfort in Chuck E Cheese! (Personally, I find headaches at Chuck E Cheese. LOL)
It makes me want to move to California so I can experience an earthquake. I'll beg my husband to please take me to Hawaii!
I'm so glad to hear that no one was seriously hurt in that earthquake!

Yes, I mean I am used to the earthquakes myself as I grew up there and moved away only ten years ago. I am glad too that no one was killed or hurt badly in that earthquake.
I hate Chuck E Cheese myself, but when I was a kid I LOVED it.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!
