Friendliest places around the world

I always find when you go on holiday or vist a country you can see the differencein how people are and which countries seem to have friendly people and some not so friendly! I would say from the places I have travelled to up to now the two countries that stood out for me on how friendly they were was Thailand and also Antigua. Which country have you visited besides your own where you would say the nationals are friendly and make your trip more memorable?

I do not think the place has to do with anything, I think depends of the person! I am very friendly and I can tell you that all contries that I visited people were very nice to me, so USA, Brazil, France, Italy, Spain and Argentina! All very very friendly to me.

That's a good question frankiecesca. I think people have been friendly in most of the other countries I ahve visted but I have only been to 4 or 5 so I guess that kind of limits my experience. I think the people in Mexico were really very friendly and nice. I really enjoyed my experience down there. Cheers! snow.

Looking for a friendly place? Then you must come visit the Philippines. Yes, we've got spectacular sites, interesting food and activities, but most of all, we have very hospitable people to welcome you. You see, it's our nature to go out of our way to make guests feel at home, never mind if we are meeting them for the first time. So, if you decide you want to come back to South East Asia, please consider dropping by.

I have found the people of Fiji and Samoa to be the most friendly in the world out of all the countries that I have been to so far in my life. I really liked all the Australian people that I met. I found them to be honest and friendly. I had a bad time due to falling down a drain in Malaysia and I found some very kind local people that helped me. I also met a few lovely people from Singapore that assisted me when I most needed that. I had a hurt leg and was walking with the help of crutches. When I was in Kenya I found the Masai tribe to be friendly. I haven't been there yet but I have heard the Thailand is the land of smile so I guess that the local people are really friendly.

It is true of Thailand - and I also find a lot of the far eastern countries have friendly people that are so willing to help those in need and offer a smile! You sound like you have been to some amazing places! : )

I have never been out of the United States except for Canada and that was at night just up to the casinos, didn't spend much time there. Maybe one day when my children grow up and move out I will be able to, but, for now listening to everyone's stories of their travel will have to do.

I hope you do get to travel one day as it is probably one of the most amazing things to see and experience other cultures! : )

I have been to Europe on 3 different occassions and each time visited a handful of countries. We met very nice and friendly people in each of the countries we visited. I think the most friendly of the European countries is Italy. They are so laid back and friendly and we felt very welcome there. Lucky for you that you got to visit Thailand and Antiqua, I would love to visit both.

I thought Italy was great but sometimes they are so up and down! Think that might just be in the cities mainy though where it is very hectic but I agree they were friendly! x
