We all run into or face problems sometime or the other. It can be work related or personal problems. Now, the question is; have you ever faced or run into serious problems, and If and when you have run into such problems, do you adopt any particular methods or processes for solving such problems.

I have one particular method when solving a problem. I usually write it down to make the problem clearer. After writing it down, I jot down also the different solutions to it. I analyze each solution then and see which one has the most advantages. This I select as the answer to the problem.
Just like when you solve a mathematical problem, you have to analyze what the problem really is and approach it in an organized and logical manner to be able to solve it.

Yes good suggestion - In fact, [bieki81] [views given below] seems to have taken a page out of your book and hence I was forced to give my views there. I should make a note of this - to not to reply queries/ views from bottom onwards and slowly move up to the top - Thanks once again [embarassed !!!]

These are all sound suggestions. I would like to add that a problem is only as big as you perceive it to be and as small -likewise. Don't think that the problem is bigger than you are, you should think that you are "bigger" than the problem. A positive outlook definitely counts in solving problems.

The first thing when I have a problem is changing my way of thinking. I never have problems, there are only solutions. Starting from that point it's easier to see what lies in front of you. After that I divide everything in little steps and I solve every step, so in the end everything will be solved.
Have a nice day

Now that's a realistic viewpoint - breaking the whole problem down and write down and at the same identifying possible solutions that underly in each problem and then selecting the best three and come up with an optimistic solution. Perhaps we can also do a swot analysis in between.

Well, there are many times I have run into major problems in my life. Some of these required an answer right away. The thing I find that works the most for me is Prayer, and keeping strong and believing in god to see me thru.

Yes, I draw a line down the middle of a page. I put pros on one side and cons on the other side. Then I see if the pros outweight the cons or vice versa. That is usually how I handle whether to keep a job or not.
Serious problems: First, I research. Then I either provide the research to others or review it myself. Then I look at the different possible actions. See the pros and the cons of each one. Decide on the best course of action.

Sometimes the problems solve itself. I encounter some
problems before that when i ignore they just solved
itself. I used to worry a lot about my problems. Then
one day i refused to worry anymore. Some of my problems
just dissolved and the other persisting one, that's the
time i concentrated on them.

Wouldn't it be lovely if we knew when the problem would solve itself. The only "problem" is that we don't know when this darn thing would be resolved. There are stages when it could take up quite a bit of time and that would cause quite a bit of misery..
