I have many interests and sometimes I am really having a hard time deciding what to do first. I sometimes end up not finishing anything. I do sewing, oil painting, editing pictures and making short video clips. In fact, I love to do all these. My only problem is focus. I can't stick to only one and I end up not accomplishing a thing. What about you, how do you do it?

I'm like you, I have so many interests it's hard to stay focused. Some days I can't decide what to do first. Since I do sell my natural handmade soaps and some of my beaded items or patterns, I try to stay focused on those but sometimes that doesn't work. I've tried to set aside time blocks for doing each thing, but I just can't. I can't make soap if I'm feeling unfocused. If you measure wrong you can come up with a soap that isn't usable. If I'm not focused on a bead project it will all have to be taken out. Some days I don't manage to do anything productive except get on mylot and answer a few discussions! Thank God for myLot. I can be at least a LITTLE bit productive most days.

I hear that! I've just recently been diagnosed with glaucoma and computer use is very tiring on my eyes as I haven't gotten the glaucoma under control yet, but it's a magnet, I tell ya!, I just can't stay away.

Yes! I can't help it too. I keep it open most of the time and in between household chores I would sit down in front of the pc and do whatever it is I need to do. But I still find contentment whenever I finish a hobby. It is the classic one, the pc/ internet we have now is the hobby of the new age. lol...

My favorite hobby before was reading and cross-stitching well, before I actively played lawn tennis. Now i'm sad at times because I have left my two other hobbies because i have been busy with the kids and some chores at home. And if I can have an hour free in the morning, we (together with my husband) run automatically to the tennis court.
I feel sad at times for having a very limited time for my long-time hobbies especially cross-stitching (I have many finished framed pieces of works at home, from angels and landscapes to animals), all of them I stitched by myself. Maybe i need to spend some time doing it again because I just missed it and I still have a huge bouquet of flowers pattern named, Glorious Spring Bouquet...I just wish i can still have such precious time.
Happy posting!

My main two hobbies are tropical fishes and putting together native American craft (for sell at pow wows etc) I have ten aquariums set up and running and I will set a day once a week to do water changes but I have to keep focused on that because I have an automatic water changer (one that hooks up to the sink and Will syphon water out of the tanks and also will put water back in to the tanks. If I do not keep track I could overfill the tanks or even the sink could become clogged and have water all over the floor (it has happened a couple of times to me). On th native American crafts I have to be in the mood or I will not even try to do anything b4ecause I want my products to be perfect for who ever buy them. When I am doing bead work, I sometimes have to go back to correct something that I realize after getting past it, that I have to go back and undo some of the beads and redo them. If I am gluing things together I have to make sure that I put the glue in the right spot and that the pieces go together where they belong.
