Does everyone in your house eat dinner together, or do you all just eat at different times?

Yup It's a rule in our family to eat dinner together no matter how busy schedule you have. but everybody needs to be present on dinner table otherwise we wait untill everybody gathers. It increases the family value in one's soul.

My kids are raised now but when they were home, I insited that we all sit down to dinner together. Of course there was the odd time something came up that one or the other couldn't be there. I believe it builds a strong family if you share that special time. It was also the time where we all said what was happening with our day or our life and shared and helped each other. It is a special time in my house

I agree with you that sharing meal time and discussing everyone's day builds a strong family. That's our typical dinner time routine, we all share what's going on in our lives, discuss how our day went, talk over any issues or problems and share good news with each other. It's a special time for all of us. Thanks for your response!

Not often. We usually work late and fend for ourselves. Occasionally we will eat together on weekends, but thats it.

I know how that is. My husband and I used to work opposite shifts, he worked days and I worked nights, and we rarely had a family meal. Thanks for your response!

I know what you mean. I've made it a goal of mine to get our lives settled into a schedule that will allow us all to have dinner together every evening. It just feels like somethings missing when there's an empty chair at the dinner table. Thanks for your response!
