Jesus crucified on the cross 1. peter followed him and was crucified upside down 2. andrew crucified 3. matthew- the sword 4. John- natural( only one who died a natural death) 5. James, son of Alphaeus- crucified 6. philip- crucified 7. simon-crucified 8. theddaeus-killed by arrows 9. james, brother of Jesus- stoned 10.thomas- spear thrust 11. bartholomew- crucified 12. james, son of zebedee- the sword there are many more millions of people who died for their faith in Jesus.. what is your opinion? do you think they would actually die for a lie?

Nothing is nastier that a thief. A liar comes next, I feel. Guilt sucks. In some countries, a person can still die for a lie! But...they usually do not die from the actual lie and DO die from the guilt! (Do it to their own selves.)

well not to divert the conversation would you die for something (for a cause) which you know is just nothing but a lie? or wouldn give any benefit or what so ever.. jus simple die for no reason when you have the option to be alive?

Firstly, they must have believed in something/someone which could be a lie. Even if it is a lie, you couldn't blame them for they were convinced that what ever they believed in was true. On this basis, dying for something they believed was not a problem to them. You must also remember they could not expect to go to heaven without dying. This is the shortest route the majority is unwilling to take because of uncertainty. Although this is the weakest link in faith, you have to give them credit for the bold step they took.

Maybe, if the lie I was telling I believed it to be true not knowing it was a lie. Not knowing the true facts, listening to people and believing them without using our brains to think for yourself could land us in the same boat.

I don't think that they lied. Its not because I refuse to see some truth to what others are accusing of them but because since I was not there I don't know what really went on so until I get a convincing proof I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they did not lie. It may seem that what they did may be the biggest lie of all time, but what if its not a lie at all? Being humans I think we try to find fault at others one time or another. I really can't explain why we do that but for some reason we do. Sometimes its so hard for us to understand what a person does so we think that its all a lie and he or she is hiding something. Curiosity of the cat I guess. LOL But whether its a lie or not I have to say that its admirable what they did. All that passion, trust, and love that they showed is an irregularity that shook the old world and established a strong and solid community today.
