I'm back to ranting again. So after cable company gives us a runaround we get the tv repairman out here to figure out what's going on with the VCR. He tells us our VCR is analog and it will not record the stations that are digital (which all stations will be by Feb. 2009). The repairman says go to satellite, for one of their package deals for the DVR-digital video recorder-or get the DVR thru our cable company. My husband goes to the cable company's office and they tell him we can record with the VCR and they wouldn't give him the DVR's we wanted at $15 per unit.
My husband comes home. I call the cable company, for the umpteenth time, and I explain to them I get some customer service or I cancel them and go to Satellite. The soonest we can get anyone out is Tuesday. We just had a cable tech out here and the soonest they can get me so I can record my shows is Tuesday. I'm having a fricking nervous breakdown just trying to record my shows so I can watch them when I get off work at night!
My husband absolutely insists that we are not going to satellite so he's stuck paying the $30 bucks it's going to take so I can record my shows while I'm at work. Isn't this country great?!

I honestly don't understand why all television is going digital. It's such a hassle! I havent even begun to figure this out, and make a point not too until the summer is over. In my opinion, if you want a digitial broadcast, you ahould be able to subscribe to one company that broadcasts only in digital. If your not really interested in digital, you should be able to keep things they way there are. It's just my opinion, but I agree it is definatly a pain!
Take care!
