My son is almost 9 months old. Recently he has started screaming for no reason. He will be sitting on the loor and just scream. He is usually happy while screaming, but occasionally he screams and gets mad at his voice. Is this normal?

Yes, my son went through that at about the same age. He just enjoys hearing his own voice and getting a reaction. What I did that worked a lot of the time was start talking or singing to him very softly. He had to stop screaming to hear me. Don't worry, it will pass soon, probably within a few weeks.

LOL, welcome to the wonderful world of baby boys...well, girls can be just as bad. Yes, your son is normal, he's just practicing a new skill that he learned which just happens to be screaming. I hope he gets out of it soon but I can remember when my youngest used to do it...she could hit that note that went in through your ear, fried your brain and came out of your eyeball!

Definitely, this is just a normal stage. I got a 1 year old that is just fascinated with her voice. We always wonder where she got that voice because she is quite tiny but when she opens her mouth...it sounds like a thousand lions roar...:)

My god! Babies are a terror when they are not behaving like an angel. Lol =D
I believe that this should be normal. My baby cousin used to do that often and on top of that, hit people on their face to get what he wants. Babies are obnoxious in that manner.

Yes this is absolutely normal. He is realizing that he has a voice and that it can get quite loud. He's usually getting mad because his own voice has scared him or he didn't realize how loud he got it. Now that he know's this though he will use his screaming to his advantage to push all your buttons and no...he won't stop pushing your buttons for a long time!
