DO you reward your kids when they do good in school? What do you do?I recently boughtboth of my sons new games for their DS players after both of them made the Honor Roll.I think they deserved a reward.

If it takes bribing my kid to get him to buckle down and work hard at school then that is what I am going to do. I see nothing wrong with it. Congrats to your boys on making the honor roll too.

Both made honor roll, that's terrific. Yes we did reward our kids when they were in school and made good grades. I see nothing wrong with it since we punish our kids when they need punishing. Why not reward them for good behavior. Our kids grew up to be responsible adults so rewarding them by buying them each a car when they were going to college didn't hurt them a bit. They are happy and educated. I did my job and will take a pat on the back..lol

Children do deserve a reward for getting good grades. Both of my sons stayed on the honor roll until last year and their reward was not having chores around the house. Last year both of them decided that they were just going to coast thru and not bother with their school work, so they have been doing household chores and they HATE it. I am expecting them to improve this school term.

I haven't got kids yet but I guess I would reward them if I could and it was deserving of it! x

My son is only 2 1/2 years old and he's not into school yet. But, if time comes that he's already studying and he's doing well, I would definitely reward him that way he'd do better and better coz he has something to look forward to for all his hard works.

I dont see anything wrong with rewarding your child for making good grades. It gives them a sort of incentive to continue to do well in school. if they don't get anything for good grades then why should they continue to try so hard and do well. My daughter is just finished her first year in kindergarden and for her doing so well I bought her any toy she wanted. She picked a horse that walked when you pushed a button. She was so happy and tells everyone that that horse was for her doing well in school.

yes, I do reward my girls. They are so into stickers. So forever good grade they get a big sticker, and for evry question they get right they get a small one. If they do bounus they get a medium stick. In doing this my daughters have been on the STARIGHT a honor roll almost three years running for the oldest and 2 years for the other two and youngest is just starting school this year...
