yeah me too.
right now I have a near teenagery Crush on Edward Cullen. which is rather embarassing, being a kids book, but not enough to stop me thoroughly enjoying wallowing in my crush.
I think, looking back, Louis was my first crush, rather than someone in a boy band, a fictional character, before there was even a film, so I suppose it's just a repeating pattern.
I think it's because of the idea of love that really could last forever. who couldn't want that.

Oh Galena, I had a huge crush on Louis, long before the movie. Sensitive, deadly, beautiful and perpetually sullen at the loss of his humanity. The vampire with a heart of gold.
But I have to admit, when the movie finally came out I was in serious lust over Armand! The rebel, experiential, ruthless, fearful.... and no denying that Antonio Banderas ... well I've always been warm for his form.

aw Edward Cullen is too perfect to be real lol. I have a bit of a crush on him as well and I love love those books.
As for Anne Rice's characters I always liked Armand and then Marius when he was introduced into the story ^_^

Ha! I Have been at it longer!Have you ever heard of the show "Dark Shadows"? That show had me hooked, well Barnabus Collins the vampire in the story did . I love all of that stuff. I was so into Buffy, Angel and all the other shows, and I am going to be 60 soon. I miss those shows, so "Supernatural" tides me over.

OMG! Someone remembers Dark Shadows? I watched the reruns. I'm 39, now. But I used to rush home just to catch the next episode. I had such a crush on Barnabas Collins. He was just the coolest.
One of my favorite movies when I was a teenager was "Love at First Bite". Why? Because Dracula didn't get destroyed and he got the girl!!!

I am almost 30, and I love to read vampire stories as well, or witches or werewolves or any of that stuff. I think it is a good way to escape from the boring and the ordinary. Plus, I think it is the loneliness that intrigues me and the long life. I mean what would you really do if you live forever?

Living forever would be a very lonely life. Those you come to know would age and die, and you'd have to move on. Maybe that's why so many "Ancients" in the books and movies are so cold and unemotional. They've learned not to care.
Vampire movies and books are my favorites. They hold such a fascination for me.

Don't feel alone hon, I've been obsessed with vampires since I was in high school and I'm 49. I watch all the vampire movies and have so many vampire books. I don't know why I have this obsession but I do and I love it so I see no reason to change it.

I used to be a dental nurse, and that's really not a great idea.
but.
I did have a denture made with caps that fitted over my fang teeth to make them just barely noticeably longer than the incisors.
it's brilliant. you wear them out and about, and people react to them in a bizarre way. because it's subtle enough to look like you have natural fangs.
great fun.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm the only one I know that, at the age of two would sneak back into the living room at 3 am to watch the late late movie. But only if it was a Dracula movie. My first imaginary friend was Dracula. He lived in my closet and protected me from the bad people.
Then, there was Monster, the vampire who lived in our oak tree.
All my life, I've had a fascination with vampires. I've studied all the myths and legends and folk-lore. I've told people, I knew enough about vampires that I'd rival Van Helsing. But I would never be a Vampire Hunter. I'd be the helper, who hid out the vamp from those who wished him harm.

It's nice to find some fellow vampire lovers! I'm seriously obessed with them as well and I think they are amazing. I would love to be able to live forever and watch as the world changes. There are just so many incredible things about them that I love and I find myself always looking for more books, movies, or whatever on them too :) I've always loved them for as long as I can remember!
