What kinds of jobs do you consider to be most fulfilling and meaningful? In terms of monetary gain and enjoyment, what career do you consider the best? Being an engineer, I think that programming is best; you earn a great salary, and have a lot of freedom.

I think teaching is the most rewarding profession, although you may not get a very higher salary in it but the amount of satisfaction in shaping your students to be a good citizens and professionals is immense, I believe.

I would think being a nurse, would be rewarding and fulfilling, my sister is a nurse, and I wanted to be a nurse but things didn't work out that way. But you get to help people everyday, and try to make things better for them. Not to mention the pay is pretty good, I know my sister makes good money, but she works hard long hours.

Welcome to myLot, newbie! I think my career is the most rewarding there could be; I'm a teacher. I can't include income in the decision, though. After 18 years of college, a total of eleven degrees, and more than 40 years in the classroom, I'm having trouble making ends meet, and I'm not a big spender. Our benefits cost substantially more each year, and we haven't had a raise since I can remember. Now that budget's so tight, we have to buy all our own supplies, so teaching is going to cost us quite a bit. Still, almost every minute has been a joy, and I can't imagine greater rewards!
