I'm a pretty avid reader - I like just about everything I read, and I feel like I learn alot about life through books. Some books that I have read have stayed with me for a long time, for one reason or another. One book that I read maybe 10 or 11 years ago is called "Pleasing the Ghost" by Sharon Creech. It's about a boy who is normally visited by ghosts, one of which is his uncle who recently passed away. His uncle suffered a stroke and only spoke in odd combinations of words, and only the boy and the uncle's wife could understand what he was trying to say. The ghost stays with the boy until he helps his uncle with three tasks that he didn't finish while he was alive. It's a children's story, but looking back on it, it's always stuck with me, and it's such a heartwarming tale of how loved ones are never forgotten. What do you guys think? What books have touched you?

The Bible has a lot of things to say and for my entire years of existence, I've used it as a guide for my morals. My convictions fall under the grace of the scriptures and I am totally convinced of what it says. But besides the bible, I also have other books which has helped me a lot in my quest for the truth. One is Why Sin Matters by Dr. Mark McMinn which helped me take a look on humanity in a psychological and biblical perspective intertwined. Desiring God, the meditations of a christian hedonist also played a key role in maintaining my christian sanity. Pivotal Prayers by Joyce Meyer also gave me insights on how I should pray. Actually, there are lots of books to name here, but still, the Bible stands separately among them all.
