What Is In August That You Feel Excited About?

Goodbye July, Hello August.. Today is August's 1st day and I am so excited about it. Do you know what excites me? It is simply because the month in which I am going to throw up a celebration for three. Three of my family members are celebrating their birthdays on the 7th, 9th and 14th. And we are planning to blow a one day celebration to make it less costly and at the same time less exhausting. I gotta cook them pasta, fry a lot of their favorite spicy chicken wings and probably a night swimming just after the party gets done. Don't you think it is a nice idea? But aside from that,on August 21st is my best friend's birthday as well. She now lives in Florida that I am planning to have a day off to be able to talk to her (via web) on her day. Need to send her customized greeting cards and a birthday present as well. Lastly, when August is finished comes the start of "ber" months. "Ber" months that remind us that Christmas is coming soon and by September which is the 1st ber month makes us hear the first Jingle bells on the radio. Oh i love to hear carols again!

Wow! August 9th is gonna be a big day this year. Its my birthday too, a young nephews, and another nephew is due on the 9th.
Its funny that everyone in my family is having kids on my birthday. Don't i feel special with my 9th day of August.

Our whole house is getting ready for school! My oldest will be starting her senior year in college. My second daughter will be starting college and moving in to the dorms so we have a lot of shopping and packing for her. My third daughter will be starting kindergarten, yes I just got #2 out of high school and I'm starting all over with #3. We have to buy a complete wardrobe for her since she has grown so much over the summer. We also have to get shoes and school supplies and get her back into some type of routine. And then we have my little guy. The baby of the family will be starting preschool. So as you can see we are all focused on some type of school - from college to preschool. I'm just looking forward to having a routine back in my house. Summer is so crazy with kids and friends coming and going and the little kids not wanting to go to bed because the sun is still out.

I am a Leo and my birthday is on the 13th which is one of the most exciting events for me in the month of August. Beside my own birthday, I have various family members also born in August and we all try to celebrate it either together or as they occur. In August many people enjoy the nice Summer heat and soak in the last good sunshine since Fall is not too far away and both work and school usually become entrenched when summer's over. August is also the month that was named after Emperor Augustus Caesar.

yeah right, having a job to start with makes one pretty excited and yet nervous i suppose. Good luck to you! Tell your father my greetings of a Happy Birthday and a wish of a long life ahead. Yup, I am a registered nurse! Aren't you also one?

I am expecting my first baby some time around the 23rd - 27th of August! I am feeling anxiety and worried at the same time! Of course, I cannot wait to meet my little baby but I am worried about the delivery pain! Duh, what a mixture of feelings. I have been preparing all the baby stuff and also the things that I need myself last month. This weekend, I am going to pack my own bag and also my baby's bag to bring along to the hospital! Hmm, this month is an exciting month to me. I am moving onto a new page of my life. Imagine, life with a new little baby! My husband is thinking hard what to give to our little as gift, ya a birthday gift! Wish me luck!

wendhieRN, sounds like you are going to have a very wonderful month. I am happy for this particular August because it is the last August I'll have to send a minor off to school. My youngest is 17 yrs-old and a senior this year (yea!). August signals the precurser to the fall of my life. I am happy to get through all the heat of rearing my children and look forward to the cooler more settled rest that the autumn of life brings. Jingle Bells is nice too. (:

In August we will have 3 b-days to celebrate. One is my nephew, his b-day is the 11th, my sisters is the 18th, and my niece will be born on the 18th as well (c-section) She will be my first niece, I have 6 nephews already. We all can't wait to see her. So thats the exciting things thats happening this month.

August excites me because I will be joining the Recruitment Day of my dream company and all the expenses (transportation, board and lodging, etc) will be shouldered by them. Woohoo! I'll just worry about my shopping allowance. *Wink wink* August is also the birthday of my cousin, grandpa, and godmother. So it's gonna be party time again. BUT BUT BUT, one thing which makes August quite difficult for me to face is the fact that my boyfriend is going to be assigned to another location and he will be miles and miles away from me by then. *Sad face*

I'm excited about August because my uncle lives overseas and we will be getting together on Sunday since he just flew in. Several of my family members have birthdays throughout the month and the best part, SCHOOL STARTS on August 18!! I'm very excited!!!

It's my step-fathers birthday
I'm going to recieve my biggest encintive from our company worth 12 thousand pesos for just 1 month.

august, it is now august and few months from now we will be celebrating the most awaited time of the year, christmas. but, don't rush our selves too much for august has still so much to feel excited about. well, the olympics in beijing has started and to cheer for our countrymen to do their best to bring home the finest bacon is something to be watched for. second, tomorrow i will be attending a bastismal ceremony of which i am invited to be the child's godfather whose parents are good friends of mine. i am so excited for tomorrow because i am going to see my long lost friends and my bestfriend whom i last saw mid of last year. talking about today, it is my sister and brother in law's birthday in which i believe this evening will be thrown a furious celebration. LOL. then, on the 15th there will be a mall wide sale at Robinson's mall and i am looking forward to buy nice stuff by then. hahaha

4 Things. I'm looking forward to a week off of work. I'm going on vacation to Indiana to visit with family. I'm always excited about that. Also visiting my sister in New York right after that. Which gives me one day of rest. Then I start college the following day. It will be my first year so it is exciting and a bit scary too. And someday in August, hopefully sooner than later, I will be getting my scooter that I had ordered delivered to my house. I think I am more excited about getting the scooter more than anything else.

This august is special unlike any other August. Unlike other August's in the past, my family is coming to visit me, I havenlt seen them in years and I am always in contact with them through email and phone.
It's also the month before school starts again so that's another positive thing.

The thing that excites me most about august is that its my birthday!!! Of course I a going to get older but who doesnt.. and after all its just an number. I am still young at heart!
