A UK Shopping centre has taken the step to install charger points for EV's visiting there on shopping trips! is there a UK resurgence of interest in EV's?

I have definatly been thinking of building one. I think its about time we've started showing more interest in these vehicles again. With better and better technology coming out for batteries it won't be long till they meet or exceed the ICE's distances and the electric motor has been far more effeciant for years. I think with rising oil prices we can be expecting much more to come.
