I really need to find a way out to get rid of the problems posed by some of my shouting neighbors. There are actually two pairs of couples living adjacent to my apartment, and either #1, or #2 will start shouting loud from very early morning hours, and at times they quarrel even at midnight. They have different approach of fighting out in-between, whereas, #1 mostly confined their rants using quotations and decent allegory, #2's rants often send abusive languages to the atmosphere. Anyway, both of them cross 100+ Decibal audio limit when going on in full swing. We have take the matter up to them but they simply deny all allegations citing it as their 'Private Affair'. And since #2 is a Cop by profession, so, it is hard to get assistance from local PS. Any help?

Maybe look into your neighborhood to see if it has a noise control ordinance in effect. Often, there are "official" places where you can complain, and hopefully get the issue resolved. Also, a nice recording via handycam will go a long way to persuade others about the truth behind your claims.

Thanks. But I live in a conservative place. So capturing video even with my mobile camera seems to be very difficult. They may declare war against me. Fortunately today, I've not heard either of them - hope it continues for few more weeks.

That's a real dilemma. If it were me, I would transfer to a more peacfeul place. If I happen to own the house, then assistance should be sought by all concerned to request them to transfer residence. If they own the house, that would be another problem, you'll just have to talk to them and have a compromise.

Yeah! That's the way to go although I have decided to move the matter with our landlord.

nilzerous hi you need to talk to your landlord or manager and ask him to talk to these noisy neighbors, even a cop is supposed to keep the racketdown at home. go to your city hall and complain about the noise levelas every town has one and they have to make people keep the racket down regardless of who they are. You have asked nicely now is the time to protest not so nicely.

I suppose our landlord may help me in this issue. I appreciate it is very much necessary to be a hard nut under certain situations. But that's how I take up things around me in most occasions. I know this is very much annoying particularly so, if you need to pay attention to some serious work. But then, this daily drama is not going to take away my life anyway. So... But I'll obviously ask our landlord to talk to them.
