Would you push the button?

Say you are locked in a room. There are two rooms, a person in each. There is a button on the wall. A voice tells you that if you push the button, you will live but the other person will die. The same goes for the other person. If you both push the button, both of you will die. You will both live if none of you push the button. There is no way to communicate with anyone, and you have to make a choice. What would you do?

Maybe, I choose not to push the button because if ever I'll push the button and that person who is my companion will die then I will carry the guilt from the rest of my life.. I don't want to live that my conscience is bothering me.. And then what if the person who's my companion is the person whom I love most or very important in my life, the more I can't do it.. If ever he/she chooses to push that button and it is ok for me.. I don't have any choice if he/she wants to live and let me die.. But if that person is important in my life then I'll be the one who will tell him/her to push the button.. I will sacrifice myself for him/her.. Well, I guess I am so stupid to decide to die.. Am I??
