What's the best life advice/Cliches you have heard?

What's the best life advice/Cliches that you have heard? Mine would be "Look out for Number 1", it's really a play on "Trust No-one". Another good one would have to be "If you live with one eye on the past and one eye on the future you're living today cockeyed."

My favorite is "This too shall pass", and truer words have never been spoken. No matter what the situation, it will eventually pass away.

I have heard some good cliches or adages in my time. One of my favorites is "Silence is Golden". It just seems so true sometimes. And it works for me most of the time. Just being quiet can keep you out of trouble. I mean things like not gossiping or spreading rumors and the like. I can't say that I ever heard of the "cockeyed" quote though. That's a pretty good one. Thanks for passing that along.
