linux is more secure than windows, virus can spread within a second and down the windows system. in lInux it is not that that easy to bring down the machine. now a days servers are very important in realtime environment where windows has less capacity to handle compare to LINUX.
Moreover LINIX is opensource, its Free for every one.

obviously windows...
linux is too cumborsome to use...
but for programmers i heard linux is good... as far as my knowledge goes, in many companies, windows is used for developement and other purposes, where as linux is loaded to run the servers, it seems they give good performances

Linux is actually not that hard and the current versions of linux gives you awesome power in your hand. It is just a myth that linux is hard to learn and cubersome.
And for max companies linux is prefered because it is free so unlike home users who can get away by using pirated versions of windows. Companies have to pay huge amounts.
Plus linux is almost "virus free".

I prefer Windows because of it's ease of use and the availability of third party software. The majority of companies that create and market software programs will naturally write the program as a Windows compatable program in order to reach the largest target audience.
There are many Linux operating systems available (known as distributions) and many of them are very good and versatile. As time goes on it becomes easier to use Linux due to the improvements with the user interface. Nevertheless, Windows still remains my favourite.
As for the absurd comment of Linux being for kids, it is hard to credit that a Microsoft representative could be so irresponsible.

who ays that for your kind information linux comes with almost all drivers so you do not have to install drivers for most of the hardwares plus the music player coming with linux can play almost any video or audiop format.
See the benefits.

Linux is certainly not "just for kids". It is a very good OS. It is almost as 'user friendly' as Windows and, certainly for an office system, where the user is concerned mainly with software tasks, is just as good.
Because Linux is open source, it is a very good means of learning about Operating Systems.
Also, because it is open source, one isn't tied into one company. I believe that, when you buy a computer, the operating system should be free. One may need enhancements or upgrades but a basic OS should be free.
