I'm an online game addict as well. I've been playing Ragnarok Online since 2002. Yeah, you have a good point. Online games and even long offline games are mere virtual worlds. But it is a form of entertainment and for avid gamers such as us, it makes "fun" more interesting. Before I was so serious. My character usually reflects who I am in real life.
My attitude gets carried over to my characters online. But then, as the years passed by, I had more things on my hand such as work. I only play it just for fun now and I don't stay a long time online as I used to. But still, it will always be fun for me.

That's definitely true. A lot of students prefer playing video games than studying. Well, it's up to the parents/guardians to instill discipline. Hopefully, they could help their child change their priority to studies instead of video games.

I am currently a student and love online games. I agree that some people play way too much and don't pay attention to studies. right now I usually play before I study, but thats because games are fun and relieve the stress of school, plus I know I'll get my work done. Also I am breezing through school with straight A's and most of the time a 4.0 average.

They are really addictive. Some years before i put more than a 100 grands into buying games for myself. And i used to play online too. I was a crazy guy. I wanted to go to the WCG (world cyber games) and take part in it. I was close to it too. I used to win the local and state tourneys held on the computer stations around the city. But i dont know i just wanted to quit the addiction and i just put all my game collection into my wardrobe behind the clothes of mine and never saw them ever till today back !. I wanna live in real life, dont want to mess it up. Seriously Games really mess your mind badly inside out!.
