Hey there has any one heard of asthma in animals one of my sisters rung up the vets about her dog and asked if animals could get asthma after telling the vets what was wrong with him. They told her that it sounded like he might have asthma thats what the vets said that was what they thought it was any way so I am just wondering after finding this out if any one else has heard of asthma in animals at all?.

I've got an asthmatic cat and have a friend with an asthmatic dog. It's easily treatable, usually, and isn't a huge problem, most of the time. I know, in my cat and my friends' dog, it's caused by an allergy to something. In my cat's case, it was the dust from her litter and flea bites. My friends' dog is allergic to grass.
Hope your sister's dog is feeling better soon.

Hey there I knew that animals can get diabetes but I never knew about the fact that they get diabetes but not about them getting asthma.

I have heard isolated accounts of it. It seems to be a fairly recent thing and attributed to air pollution for the most part. Even our beloved pets are being affected by our selfishness!
