Recently Microsoft announced that it would be releasing an updated version of the xbox 360. As many users may be aware by now, the xbox 360 isn't the most reliable system in the world (check out my discuusion on the RROD). I saw the new screenshots of the interface and it seems pretty cool to me. The old "blade" system has been revamped and replaced with a new 3d interface. It appaers that xbox is trying to compete with the Wii. Let's just hope that this update will bring more than just a better looking xbox 360 interface.

I haven't heard anything about the competition between Xbox 360 and the Wii but I have heard a few things about the updated system.
First, I've heard that it will be remotely the same price as it is now, 349.99 but instead of a 20 gb hard drive it will now come with a 60. I love my 360, I've had so much fun playing it - I am kicking myself for buying it earlier and getting the smaller hard drive. Unfortunately, the hard drive space isn't normally an issue for a user who isn't downloading content off the dashboard. ... I can't help it ihough, I have a problem staying away form arcade games.
The next update I read about was something I'm really excited about. Apparently, they are going to have avitars that are linked into the dashboard. These will have achievements, different outfits you can collect, and also be playable in games. Currently they have only contracted these with games that are with a rating of 10+ but they do hope to get them up to M rating.
Wouldn't it be crazy to play as your avitar in a game like Gears of War 2?

That is very interesting to hear,I have not heard anything about Microsoft releasing an updated X-box 360,and though I do not own one yet,me and my fiance have been saving for one, along with a Nintendo Wii,and we should hopefully be able to purchase the X-box 360 soon and I am very excited, and I can understand the the X-box 360 is trying to compete with the Nintendo Wii because they are both very popular systems and very popular companies, thanks for sharing this information.
