well,i'll rarely to that when the question is really interesting... moreover, discussion with more than 15 responses will be in second or third page...i'll just visit the first page of the interest... thats why i miss some good discussions even... normally,i'll always respond to (somewhat) new discussions... what will you do??

I prefer to respond to discussions that have very few responses because it's difficult when they have more than one page of responses to go through them all to make sure nobody already said what you want to say. I hit the "no responses" tab a lot and look for things to respond to there. I WILL respond to discussions with more responses if they're under my interests, but I don't go looking for them.

Why would it matter how many responses the discussion has? You get payed the same for your answer. It does not matter to me how many responses a discussion has. If I am interested in answering I do.

If the topic catches my eye I will respond even if it is years old and has hundreds of responses the question is does anyone read them?

You are right. The discussions lying on the distant pages will not be noticed by the people. But if the discussion is interesting, I will participate.

Most of the discussions that I do comment to sometimes have more than 15 responses. That is in the top and hot topics most of the time. Then there are times that I also go to the no responses just to see what the subject of discussions are. If I like the topic I will comment. Most of the time I at least go up to 10 and past 10 pages viewing discussions. Then I will start all over from page 1 just to see if I missed anything.

I respond to new discussions too, always my friends new discussions first because I get an alert. However, when I see one that I feel strongly about I will respond, regardless of how many responses.

Why not, dreamsrri? If I am interested in the topic,I really don't mind how many responds it already has.I come here just to find what is interesting and then respond to them.If the topic is interesting,it must will have many responds. However, I don't think this can be the reason for me to say "No" to the interesting topic. Have a nice day!
