Had you ever been locked out from your house, from your room and the key was left inside or worse lost? And on top of that in the middle of the night, If so how did you deal with it? climb the wall or destroy the lock? or sleep over a friend's and try to figure it the next day.

I had combination of being locked out of everything once... lol... I'll explain... As do most people, I have a key chain & all the keys I need are on it... It was pouring out one day & really humid... I was at work & about 5 minutes before my shift was done, I went out to my car, in pouring rain, started it & turned on the windshield defrost on, then came back into my work... Few minutes later, I walk back out to my car & realized I locked my keys in the car with it running... Since I don't live too far from my work, I had one of the co-workers give me a ride home... He leaves, & I went upto my front door & realized my house key was on a same key chain in the car... So here I am infront of my house in pouring rain, can't get in the house, can't get to my car... I had to wait 2 hours until my girl friend got off work so she can come with me to work to get my car with the spare key...

Let me tell ya... Standing infront of my own house for 2 hours looking like a rat just got outta sewer wasn't fun... Of course, my girl friend won't let me hear the end of it for a month after that... lol....

I recently locked myself out of my apartment. Lol. I had my 3 year old with me, and I gave her a boost through the window to open the door for me. I told her we had to do that, and she was just like...."ok mommy, no problem" lol.

I got locked out of my house once in the winter just after a ice storm. I had the dog with me. I ahd to meet my husband about a half an hour away. I was lucky that I was able to find a car key. Without a car key I couldnt have stayed warm. We have no close neighbors. It was a trip. I was worried.

Yes. We used to keep this one window open on our porch, but we don't anymore. And at night when I was done hanging out with my friends I'd come in that way so I didn't wake anyone up. So when we were locked out I'd remember that the window was open and the problem was solved, lol.

Good day.. That's good. Talked about pre-emptive locked out hahaha. This give a new definition of "back door channel" and it's really is a good idea.

I have not had that problem yet, mostly because we have always had some way that we could get into our house. My current house has locks on both backyard entrances, eight foot fences, and a locked front door. I can still get in, though. The only thing I hate is that, no matter how I enter my house, my dog will wake up everyone with her loud barking. I usually try my other method, because she will bark if she hears me at the front door, and if it is locked, I won't get to her in enough time to quiet her down.

I did have this one time that I was locked out of my parents house. I can home I guess too late and they wouldn't answer phone call neither would my sister or brother. I ended up sleeping outside on the front porch it was actually the best sleep I have ever gotten.
