My "I'm On My 1001th Post!" Celebration

Welcome to my celebration of posting my 1001th (counting-as-a-post) post (If you aren't sure what does and doesn't count when it comes to posting, read the TOS)!!! Today is Friday, August 1, 2008, and, a day or so ago, I hit the 1000 mark without even realizing it. You see, originally, I was going to do something like this on #1000, but, without thinking, I made that milestone while posting something else. Oh well! This is even better, because I've now reached--and passed--my #1000, and this post (a discussion thread) is the start of my next "millennium" here. I have several party games planned, and I hope that I get lots of participants! Here's the first game--which is what the discussion thread here is going to be about: Look at your account and see how long you've been here (whether it's in days, months, or years--or, if you're VERY new, even hours or minutes). Then, share the following (and, if you don't have every aspect of "the following," just share what you have): 1. How long have you been here? 2. Name something wonderful that has happened to you since you became a member--but not related to MyLot. 3. Has it been worth it to you to be a member? Why or why not? 4. Share links to anywhere between (and including) one and ten discussions you've started here so that anyone reading this can look them up. 5. Although you can't directly create referral links here, if you have a personal website, blog, etc. showing moneymaking opportunities, feel free to link to it in this thread. I'll go first. I've been here two years, give or take. At the time I joined, I neither knew Russell T. Hartsaw nor did I know about Invisible Youth Network--in fact, there's a good reason for the latter: IYN hadn't been launched yet! We've celebrated our first anniversary on March 26 of this year, and we continue to grow and grow to where we can help more and more children, teens, and young adults. Here's a link to some information about it that I've created... http://cfetc.blogspot.com/2008/08/iyn-quick-list.html It has definitely been worth it to be a member of MyLot for so many reasons--and I mean besides being paid, even though I'm quickly approaching the century mark when it comes to earning, even though my participation here hasn't been as hot-and-heavy as some due to having so many different directions that I'm being pulled in. For one thing, there are questions that are just simply fun to answer, and a whole lot of nice people around to discuss things with. For another thing, this is a great place to talk about things of a more serious nature that need to be talked about and to have people to listen, even if they don't always agree. In other words, it's social, educational, activist-friendly, spiritually-uplifting, and just plain fun! Here are ten links to past discussions, and I hope that some of them will be ones that will appeal to you when it comes to participation... Actually, it's my 1001st post, but it didn't show up that way until my party guests started arriving. That's how it seems to work around here. It isn't a discussion unless it involves more than one person. Guess they don't want us talking to ourselves. LOL I have news for them: I do anyway!!! It won't be long before your number will be right up there with mine as well! Best wishes, and have fun!!!

P.S. I see I goofed up with the title! I know better than that! Whatever was I thinking when I said this was my 1001th post instead of my 1001st post!?!

Thanks for being the first arrival at my party! I hope you'll return to participate in some of the games I've provided, as I want my party to be a time of fellow MyLotters having the chance to mingle and exchange stories! #4000 for you will probably be here before you realize it, and you won't be able to believe your eyes! Maybe, you'll have your own celebration! Hope so!!!
