One does not earn much from Internet jobs like mylot but it gives you flexible working hours. Whereas one earns more in proper job but there is no flexibility of working hours. What do you consider better? Are you also doing a proper 9 to 5 job? Are you also doing any other internet job apart from mylot? How much approx. do you earn from internet jobs?

Unless you can guarantee that you will always make enough money to support yourself and your family then you are better off with a real 9 to 5 kind of job. Making money on the net is iffy for most and its hard to pay your bills like that. Better to have a "real" job

If you are making money to support your family that is the important thing. Sometimes you can get by doing some writing or GPT sites, but that is something that will not last long term. If you want to work from home, you need a business that has a steady income.

I'm a writer; it's the thing I'm best at. I work several hours a day at writing. I like the fact that I have plenty of time to do political activism. So, I like having freelance job (I work 3 jobs and earn $500 a month). However, I think that having an office job would be a bit more stable and have a bigger paycheck!

Hello, Karjyo!
I do not think that earning money online should be seen as a real job. It is not. After all, this is more like a hobby. You get no benefits for it. You cannot retire after a certain time of "working", and you will not receive a secure salary, which means that if you break your hand you will have to die of hunger in the following months... Either that or find someone to type for you. It would be way better to get a job like 9 to 5. I am still studying, so I cannot get a job like that, but as soon as I finish my school I will do so.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

Well the ideal, is to have an online BUSINESS so you will make lots of money and have the flexible hours and being able to work from home. It's possible to achieve this but it takes time. I personally only work online, I'm lucky that I don't NEED a regular outside job for the money, but if you do, obviously, you're going to have to do that.

Hi karjyo,
I guess it is better to have a regular job...Though, we have no choice about hours!
Anyway, I am not having different sites this time and have no regular job too!
But, I am sure those who are making great money through blogging they don't need anymore regular jobs!

I have a part time job out of the home 21 hours a week because I have young school age children and would love a job online where i could even just as much working at home as I could going to that job, would make live so much easier if one of the kids are sick you could say home with them without having to take a day off work and upsetting your boss or you wouldnt have to find babysitters for the school holiday's and things like that!
So yes I would totally prefer an online job to a 9-5 job but I am lucky if I can $5 a week here online so I think I better keep my day job as well and just use this as a hobby.........

What is better is really down to the individual. Some might prefer a 9-5, others might not. For me, I prefer working online for the (potential) freedom it presents (if you work hard towards it). For instance, if I wanted to travel, I could - and take my work with me. I wouldn't have to look for employment wherever I went.
I earn partly offline and partly online. Since the beginning of the year, I've earned over $1800 online mostly through writing articles & blog posts for other people.
I prefer online gigs anytime. It's not easy and can be just as challenging/frustrating as a 9-5, but I'd pick working online any day.

I think it depends on how much you value money. If you value money more you are going to be happier with a regular job. If you value your flexibility and your free time more you will be happier with an internet "job." I think the best thing is probably to have alittle bit of both maybe some kind of part time regular job that lets you earn pretty good money and an internet job that lets you supplement your income.

There are a number of online jobs that mimic more traditional jobs; they offer a stable paycheck comparable to more traditional jobs but offer greater flexibility in terms of hours.
Additionally, there are people who are doing well selling their crafts, used books or other items through various online venues.
I don't view myLot as a job but, rather, a paying hobby.

I have the usual 9 to 5 job working in the hospital. Although working on the internet would be a lot better because I would be less tired all the time. Plus it would give me more time to do what I want to do. But, the job I got is pretty flexible when it comes to me going to school and things. The only downfall to it is that I have to pck up another persons shift to make up for the lost hours I got.

Sometimes 9-5 isn't an option i have an 11yr old a 1yr old and in four months having twins. With no daycare in town getting a job isn't possible. Being Pregnant doesn't help either. So if an internet job makes me even a small amount of money it sounds good to me at least i feel like i'm doing something to bring a little ease to our financial situation. I wish I could find The One that makes the 500-3000 a month amounts that would be great? WISHFUL THINKING

I am doing 9 to 5 job and also logs in to Mylot sometimes and I am not working on any internet jobs because except Mylot I have not got any best sites yet. I think Mylot is best because we have flexible time of working and also can earn lot in a day but just that you have spend much time here.

Well, if it's not for basic survival, then I would choose internet job where I could excel my creativity and work according to my own mood and pace. However, internet job doesn't pay very well and therefore why I have to work a full-time job, which sucks as most of the them I don't think I am doing things which add value to me. Now, I could just work both full-time in real and part-time online, my online earnings are around $60-70 per month.

i prefer and will definitely be campaigning for 9 to 5 working hours. or here in the philippines, ffrom 8 to 5.. because it is when we work we see ourselves much clearer. especially when we work in an area where there are lot of employees. there is growth and even a challenge for each one.. it is really nice to work!

You say you can not earn enough money working through the internet, but it depends. There are people out there making a living with Internet Marketing, so why wouldn't it be possible. You just need to find the right niche and work it. I stopped my 9 to 5 job to be at home with the kids and in my free time I'm working on the internet to start making an income, and it slowly is getting up. I don't need the money, so I can take my time and I know I will get there.
Have a nice day

Since i haven't got reward in terms of money, i prefer my original job. and even if i earn a lot from the internet, i would still choose the people-contacting work. because sitting all day in front of computer is tiring and lacks of effective communicating with people. A person who can not master the skill of dealing with people can not make a single step forward in this society.
