Most people love to live in the city. But a village life where lot of trees, animals, birds co-exists is my dream life. What about you? Would you like to live in such a village?

I live in such a beautiful place now but it is a big city; so I have the best of both worlds. But I have to be constantly on guard against complacency when it comes to my beautiful surroundings. I don't ever want to come to the point where I fail to stop once in a while and admire how beautiful my home is.

I visited New York City once. My City of Roanoke, Virginia (USA), is less than half the size of New York City. I stood in the middle of Time Square at midnight and you could literally feel the life of the city. It is vibrant and very much alive. It made me want to come back again and feel that excitement. But I would never want to live there. I lived in New Orleans for three years and Miami for 20 years, but I would not want to live in those cities ever again. My home now gives me everything I need including my need for a touch of nature as it lies in a valley between the Appalachian mountains on one side and the Blue Ridge mountains on the other. In fact, the famous Blue Ridge Parkway runs right by it. So,I don't envy you who live only in the extreme ends of the spectrum. Life is great in the middle.

It would be so nice to live in a village with lots of trees. I grew up in a small town and even though there were many houses, it didn't take much effort to get into the woods and away from everything. I loved to take my bike back down to the beach and just sit there while the waves crashed against the shore. I don't have anything against the city with it's events and activity, but there is just something special about nature and what is says to you when you alone with it.

Yes and One day in the near future I will. I sort of dislike the city life, hardly any trees, the only animals I see around are stray dogs and cats, and a cow which crosses the road every now and then. Better than a village, the wilderness is where I see myself.

I'm sorry - 'Most people love to live in the city'? Where did that statistic come from?
Many people are forced to live in a city because of employment but to say that most people love it is stretching it a lot. haha
And I suppose you have to also define 'in the city' because all cities have massive suburbs where the people actually live and sleep. Do you call them city dwellers I wonder?
You can tell that I now live happily in a village but I have lived in cities in the past so I have seen both sides.

Yes I guess it would be fun to do that but for sometime like a week or month. I do go to villages and stay there for weeks as I love traveling but then after sometime I start to miss the city life. Its nice to stay in the villages when you are sick and tired of the hectic life of the city.

yah, exactly it is my dream too.i have always loved to live in a natural environment.
i have 5 acres of land in my village. At present i am studying.BUt most probably i will shift to my village and will keep lots of animals like bufflos, hens, goats, dogs, cats, and many other animals .
i just love to be natural human far from the rat race of money in which the whole world is.
i will search for a simple job which can just feed me and acn buy me some of my intrests like pencils for my drawings and some musical instruments.
enough i guess.
but the natural ecosystem is far better than stupid cities' environment.
peace.

i will take that for a vacation. I will ahve to live in city for living and also to make a career. not that villages wont have it. it is just that i will make a better career in my view. when i am tired of work, on weekends then i will want to live in a village with trees around and relax. not only a village, any place with a lot of greenery.

I am live in a place just as you say i think it's really good for my healthy.
and we may have a good skin,i think it's a proper place to live with.
but there is also a problem ,it's not so convient for me to buy something ,
when we need something i have to go far away,i think if you can get a place which can apply what you need, is really a good place to live
