Ok i've been a loyal follower of wwe for a long time since i was a kid but i have now started to notice a sheer lack of substance in smackdowns tapings, i have just finished watching last night smackdown and i have honestly got to say it was CARP, there were barely any matches, there was no noticable main event, the story lines are becoming STUPID beyond belief.
I started watching tna about 2 years ago and i have to admit their story lines are bordering on silly but they are better than wwe's story lines at the moment the only thing i don't like with tna is that they are not utilising their original tna talent to their full potential they are using the wwe rejects too much.
I hope smackdown are going to get their act together in the near future, i expect to be seeing the bigger talent more than what i am doing and in more matches.
Does anyone else feel that the wwe are really lacking in their shows at the moment?

We stopped watching wrestling altogether several years ago when that NWO BS came out. It was going downhill before then but when that started it just hit the gutter level for us and we stopped watching it.
I remember the old wrestling with Sargent Slaughter and the Iron Sheik, those were the real wrestling days. The stuff they have on now is just so scripted it is dumb.

I am completely agree with you. Over the years smackdown has unable to live up to its name. These days story lines are crappy as ever and I don't watch smakdown that much anymore. The only thing that's worth watching is HHH and Undertaker in smackdown. I think Smackdown will be much more entertaining if both of them perform regularly. Speaking of TNA, its also on down slide because TNA is losing its identity by focusing much on story line rather than their non stop action.

The first time I watched TNA I thought their wrestlers were more talented than the wwe wrestlers. I think I was watching the X Division wrestlers at the time. This has been some years ago. TNA was more of an up and comer back than and it was before they got Kurt Angle. They had some really cool moves. I'm definitly going to be watching more of TNA. I heard WWE is going rated pg to target the whole family for better ratings. After how sleezy they have been over the years how long is it going to take to work and get families attention if they ever do. WCW got families watching during the Nitro days but did not have to overcome their sleezy past.

Although, I was unable to watch Smackdown last night (DirecTV for me did not show it for some reason), I do agree with you.
The problem lies with the writers. They need to be replaced, the fan are not too willing to simply digest anything that is spit out anymore.
It seems that the business is moving away from the "bigger than life ego" and attempting to focus on the wrestler's skill sets.
Maybe... just maybe... they need to focus on the skill sets of their writers as well.

I agree, i am all for pushign talent as alot of the wrestlers are not utilised to their full potential, one of the things i am dreading is the way that wwe is goign to utilise " ron the truth killings ", i loved the truth when he was in TNA but if wwe don't use him right he will not gain fan favour and he will just become another back bencher.
If they are focusing on skill sets i don't hold muhc hope for many of them as there are some who simply are bad and have to be clearly carried by the oponants, for instance some of the women wrestlers are down right naff yet some of the others have become quite good, katie lee is one i hate at the moment.
god i do so hope they pull their fingers out of their back sides sack the writers get new ones do whatever it takes but sort it out for god sake.
