Candida is a fungus. It's present naturally in and on the body, but under some circumstances, it grows to an extreme. It causes itching, skin problems and, as you've discovered, fatigue and a general feeling of ill health.
Antibiotics kill the bacteria that naturally keeps it under control, and eating sweets feeds it. It's not easy to control once it gets out of control. You'll probably have to be on a strict diet as well as take medicine for it.

Candida is a yeast infestation. We have it on our body but due to some factors they cause an overgrowth which leads to several symptoms, and is fatal. Treating this yeast infection is not easy.
I,too have also been suffering with allergies for a long time, then depression and brain fog recently, and just found that this is due to candida infection. After doing some research I'm now starting with the "candida diet". I'm staying away from sugar and starchy foods since candida feeds on them. I'm also doing a sort of detoxification by taking aloe vera gel which according to my research aids in colon cleansing where a lot of candida thrives. I'm also taking herbal treatments like garlic and oregano oil which are known natural antifungals. So far, for the 3 weeks with the diet, cleansing and herbal treatments I noticed a slight improvement, but it's already a good sign that these procedure helps. Check the book "The Yeast Connection: A Medical Breakthrough" by William G. Crook. It's very informative, it will help you a lot in your fight with candida infection.
