no to abortion

i made this poem a few years back and it won me and my school a prize from a local newspaper
ABORTION
six weeks old today mommy,
a birthday gift for me,
a pair of big brown eyes,
through one day i will see
where are we going mommy?
with the rain splashing down,
when it hits the ground
it makes a funny sound
bang through the door
people dressed in green
if they hurt u mommy
just run away and scream
help me mommy
they're tearing me apart
there goes my big brown eyes
there goes my little heart
i love you mommy
believe me i do
but the worst thing is
i thought you loved me too.

Congrats on the prize! That is a very great poem! I am very strongly pro-choice, so I don't necessarily agree with the whole anti-abortion message of the poem, but it is still very powerful none the less! You definitely have a lot of talent, and I would highly encourage you to continue to write poetry!
