My black lab Ruby would say 'I'm hungry!!' haha
Well, she doesn't need to speak words - I know exactly what she is saying most of the time.
'Don't leave me. I want to come with you!'
'Let's play chase me!'
'I'm so contented. I just want to sleep close to you'
'I know there is a mouse in that tall grass somewhere. I can smell it!'
Oh yes - she can 'talk'! haha

Oddly, my mom had a dog once that did speak. Once.
His name was Bougie. He was a mixed-breed, and golden in color. He also had a thing for chasing the cat across the street. That neighbor had complained about it a lot. I had come to stay with my mom, after my split with my ex. For the time-being, while looking for regular work, I was babysitting my cousin's little boy. (He's 16, now). One morning, Mom had been getting onto Boug for constantly trying to ruun outside to chase that blasted cat. She'd gotten angry with him, and "grounded" him to the couch. He was sitting on the couch, pouting, when my cousin pulled up, to pick me up. I got up, and headed for the door. Boug began to whine and get agitated, seeing me going outside. Then, as plain as day, he looked at Mom, and said, in a dog-whine, "Mama, you let HER out!"
I turned, freaking out. I looked at Boug, then at Mom. "What did he say?"
"I don't know," Mom said, in an astonished voice, "and I sure as H**L ain't gonna tell him to repeat it!"
He never spoke again. Nor has any other animal I've been around. But I'll never forget that one moment, that scared the you-know-what out of me.
