My 6 year old son was complaining of toothaches for the past few days so I took a look in his mouth. What do you think is the problem? He hasnt lost any of his baby teeth yet but 1 of his permanent ones is trying to come through the gum to replace one of the baby ones that isnt even shakey.Has this ever happened to you or one of your kids?I am wondering how to handle this? Its a holiday weekend here and no dentist will even be open until Tuesday.Do you think I should try and pull out the baby tooth?lol.

My 8 year old has had a few permanent teeth push out his baby teeth. His baby teeth were starting to get a little loose though. If his baby tooth was not even loose trying to pull it out yourself would probably hurt pretty bad. You posted this 4 days ago, so I am guessing you have called the dentist by now though.

Yes it did. My son was only four at the time. I ended up taking him to the dentist as I didnt even look too close as he was only four. His problem was that the tooth was loose and I was afraid because he was so young. It turned out one of his permanent teeth was pushing through already. It cost me forty dollars to have it pulled and that is something I could have done myself. I would definately try and pull your sons baby tooth before the dentist. Your pocket book will be much happier.
