Do you listen to music or watch TV while you eat?

My fiance and I always watch tv while we eat...I dont even know why we own a table Lol!

We normally do Tv unless it's sunny then we sit outside and eat whilst talking!! x

I think listening to music while you eat is a GREAT idea. We do have a no tv rule & try to have conversation instead. If I happen to be eaating alone, I often am reading my latest library book too.

I think it's OK to listen to music while eating. It's better to play some beautiful pieces of music than the rock type too. As for TV, i wouldn't let my kid watch it while she eats. It is bad for digesting the food and it's not a good habbit either.

i didn't experience it,, cause we don't have tv and radio.. that's why i don't know what is the feeling of it,.,, lol

Yes, i cant live without music, ilove listening to music while eating it makes me feel complete,specially those mellow music.

Well I do like to eat and I will enjoy that food more if I'm in front of the computer or television. I don't really like eating while listening to music since my songs are mostly rock which doesn't fit while eating.

The kids are gone so it is my hubby and I and sad to say we sit in front of the TV and watch the boob tube.

I do a few different things when I'm eating. When my daughter and grandkids lived with me, we would all sit at the dinner table and talk about the kids day at school or other things, now that I'm back to living alone, I tend to be on the computer, watch TV & eat all at the same time. At my job where I'm a cook and overnight aid, After the residents are fed and my work is done, I will sit in the dining room and read while I eat. I just hate not having something to do while I eat, as it is boring.

Listen to music no but having a tv meal sometimes........it would be me eating porridge out of a soup mug and my husband eating his peanut butter sandwich biscuits while we watch tv.....light dinner.

It's only my hubby and me; we used to watch TV while we eat, but then we found that it's bad for digestion (half the time we are more focused on the show, rather than our food). So now we sit down for proper dinner / meals at the dining table, which is actually better, because we get to talk and discuss about food and other stuff.

I have to be doing something while I eat for I am an odd ball tho I prefer the computer next in line would be the tv

I always turn on the TV everytime I get home, lol, so that means I watch TV all the time.It's just a habit, like my eyes are on the TV and not on the food, and I haven't tried eating without TV, well, if I'm out with my friends prob'ly. Sometimes I hate my TV, coz whenever my boyfriend's watching his fave show, he'd forget about me, like I don't exist, and he complains the same..lol.. I read from an article, if you eat while listening to music, some kinda upbeat,fun music, the more likely you will eat a lot and enjoy your food.

i normally use the meal time to relax on sofa in front of tv and little while after i eaten too, before i come back to the computer lol the music idea is nice and id be more inclined to do that if it was nice meal with a man, something romantic.. or i suppose if it was take away then noting better then for it to be eaten while watching a dvd hehe..

Usually it's the tv in the background but I don't even hear it....if I have company then I play music...something soft sometimes just an instrumental like yanni or george winston......I love both and the music is soothing.

Good day.. When I was younger we are prohibited to listen and watch TV while we eat. It was part of our discipline that we should eat early and finish our assignments afterwards. That was my elementary and high school training. However as I got older and more mature the rules become a little bit lenient towards me specially in college, maybe because I earn some degree of respect. I enjoy listening to music when I'm eating and better yet when I'm reviewing for an exam.

It depends on what time it is and how many of us are eating at the same time. Since I started working 'shifts' as opposed to regular hours, I eat at odd times. Breakfast could be at 5.45am or become 'brunch' at around 11am. It'll be the radio early and maybe TV late.

Usually I watch the tv because it is really viewable from my seat. Most of the time I watch the tv so that I could imagine that the food that I'm eating is the one being cooked by that certain celebrity chef

I personally sit at the computer when I eat. I can't stand not having something else to do while I'm eating.

i watch television while am eating....especially i would like to watch some music videos...thats ma habit for so long for more than 10years and am holding onto this habit until now..it makes me feel that i've eaten enough only if i watch them...thats a quite strange behaviour for ma family members
