I am listening to the outdoor channel on TV and is is about sharks and how they are learning about them. Of course they compare things to JAWS for the great white sharks they are studing..could a great white really do what that shark did (and they are finding out no, it couldn't have done as much as the TV version...but wouldn't have been a great movie without it!)
They said that about 15 people are killed by sharks every year....however,
10 times that many are killed by falling coconuts.
So.. are you still afraid of sharks? Or should you stop drinking drinking coconut milk to save people?

Sharks do have some bad reputation - of course kind of justified in a way - but the truth is that more people get killed by zillions of other things than by sharks.
I respect sharks and wouldn't swim with one, but I prefer to avoid walking around coconuts the statistics tell me all I need to know LOL
I won't give up drinking coconut milk though, it's yummy :)

Yeah, its funny how they make something so major and create it so dangerous, and get all so scared of it while other things that happen daily and to more people aren't mentioned at all!

No they don't like meat. and they are not the preditors JAWS made them out to be. They are almost more afraid of you than you are of them, difference being, if you bother them or scare, they will defend themselves. Interesting facts over fiction!
