More about the man beheaded on the bus: his family speak out

I just can't believe it, this family is in mourning and there were media cameras all the way down their street watching their every move. This is just outrageous. The uncle gave a press release that his nephew was a little guy with a big soul, but asks that the family be left alone to grieve with family and friends, gosh he should not have had to ask for that, hasn't this family gone through enough already? the creep that murdered him, is going to pass a psychological evaluation. His boss said he couldn't believe that he would do this, he was a nice man. a psychiatrist said he might have had a breakdown and not known what he was doing, like he may have thought he was god and the poor young man was the devil. My heart is so sick over this. Any comments, open discussion here

I feel so sorry for the family and they should be left alone to grieve. Many times these news reporters go overboard and just don't know when to stop.

As far as the Media goes.... They sicken me!! I have seen to many times when something bad happens, the cameras and the microphones are forced into the face of the grieving families. They are savages with no heart and no compassion for feelings or grief. I have a good friend who is a news reader (anchor at the local station)and that is the exact reason he took himself out of the field, and sits behind a desk now! I don't know how I would react if they were doing that crap to me, but I don't think my reaction would be nice.

Hello winterose, That's sad. But you know the media, if there is a sensational case they don't care on what you feel. They only care on their network rating and the profit they will make on behalf of other people. These is a very stranged case. I only heard of the news from CNN and never truly follow up the case. There is always strange thing happening and you will be just surprise that such thing are happening in these world. We just need to be watchful and curious on something happening in our neighborhood. Strange thing happened. Regards.

yes it is a bizarre case, and she those media hounds only care about ratings and their jobs, because they would be fired if they didn't go and do it.

It is awful for any family to suffer the loss of a loved one but to suffer the loss in these horrific circumstances and then to be hounded by the press after asking for privacy is CRUEL, the media should be ashamed of themselves and allow these people the peace and quiet they require to be able to grieve in their own way without the world peering into them and their lives, bless em. God bless all who have been affected by this tradegy. Ellie :D

oh they have just asked for privacy this is their very first press release, and probably the last one, but I they should never had had to ask for it, those media hounds should have had enough sense.

I hate it when things like that happens. Not only did the family have to go all through that but they also had the media to aggravate the pain. Also the killer may be released due to insanity? A loss of life is already hard to bear but to add all these to the mix? I wonder how the family can cope up. They have my sympathy. I hope that they are able to get through this. Even though what ever pain we can walk away from makes us stronger, this is just too much.

I think it is absolutely horrible when something like this happens, and all the media can do is crowd around. i think that everyone deserves the privacy they need when they are in mourning. If the family was really that interested in the media attention, they could have called the papers themselves. I probably would have called the papers if it were me, to get the message out to prevent this from happening again (I'll take just about ANY OPPORTUNITY to speak out), but that's just me, and that's not everyone else. Were this to happen to us, I'd probably be the family spokesperson, and I'd make damn sure they stayed away from the rest of the family, if they did not want to speak.
