Bloggers donot waste time on Facebook.
Facebook does not allow you to promote your blog.
If you promote your blog on Facebook, they will block your account.
Facebook is good for people who donot own blogs.
Facebook is good for people who donot know a thing about blogging.
Instead give time to write good original contents for your own blog.
If you want to discuss something, write an article and post it on your blog instead of discussing on Facebook.
You can earn on your blog by using adsense or chitika.
Comment on other blogs on subject of your interest.
Update your blog atleast weekly.
There are many good social media options for bloggers.
For bloggers mybloglog by yahoo or blogburst or mylot or entrecard are better options.
mybloglog is purely for bloggers. It is backed by yahoo.
Mylot pays you for using their website and it is very easy to use. It is best.
Blogburst also pays you. Blogburst needs original writers with good quality blog with good quality content.
Blogcatalog is also helpful to bloggers, but they donot allow you to promote your blog directly.
Yuwie also pays you for using their social website. But there are many popup ads and this social media is quite slow.
Digg is very good for bloggers.

Wolfechu, please tell me how do you promote it. Do you get any hits to your blog from facebook.
Do you place direct link to your blog?

Wolfechu, I saw your blog. It ranks very low. I think you are wasting more time on face book, instead of developing your blog. Develop your blog.

saintpatience, how is xanga. I use blogspot. Can I add my blogspot blogs rss feed in xanga blog. Some people are hooked to facebook. I think they are wasting their time. They should develop their own blog instead. What do you say?

xanga's okay. i'm not sure about the rss feed. I don't think facebook is a watse of time, i just think it's better for communicating with friends rather than blogging.

Blogging on Facebook wouldn't make much sense anyway because nobody can see your Facebook account unless they also have an account and are either your friend or in one of your networks (which means they live near you, work at the same place you do, or go to the same school you do.) I blog on MySpace and just post every blog entry to my Facebook account.

If we post every entry to facebook, it is not promotion of our blog. Promoting our blog on mylot or entrecard or mybloglog or blogcatalog makes our blog more popular and we can generate income from our hobby that is blogging. While on face book we waste time on chatting or adding friends, or drawing or sending cards or plants or flowers etc. Mylot is best. We generate income along with what we like to do.
