I have made floats with Big Red Soda and with Orange Soda and vanilla ice cream, but not necessarily Blue Bell Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. And yes, the orange soda and vanilla ice cream tastes just like a dreamsicle. Soooooo delicious.
Now you've made me want some and it is 1:00 a.m. and the child is in bed fast asleep and the stores are closed. I guess I'll just have to dream about the dreamsicle. Ha!
Try it with grape. I have made grape milkshakes with vanilla ice cream and grape jello -- the powder, not made up as gelatin. This is delicious, but sometimes you get a little of the jello that doesn't dissolve and it has chunks in the bottom, which I don't like the texture. Other than that, it is wonderful. But, try grape soda pop and make a float. That is good, too!
