On another post I read about a lady not wanting to accept friend requests from people that she had "nothing in common with". Hmm.. I find this boring and sad.
I mean.. if you only get the opinions of people that you feel will give the same response as yourself...what is the point to that? I feel that the beauty of mylot is to hear all the differant point of veiws that are out there. Maybe by veiwing things in a differant light.. from a differant angle..we can address issues in a whole new way. Solve a problem or invent passions that we never dreamed of ourselves.
To me it is close minded to believe there is nothing to be learned from someone that is differant than yourself. Only because they ARE differant can we learn from them.

we don't need to be friends for responding to discussions. Any one can respond to discussions evenif he is not in our friend's list.
If you are not having any thing in common (i mean INTERESTS), its no use of having him as friend. Since if he is not interested in your discussions, he won't respond to your discussion even if you are his friend.
I only respond to discussions which i am interested. but i haven't ever rejected any friend request. I like meeting new friends.

Hi Sweetierook!
I myself, and I can only speak for myself.. try to welcome everyone. I cannot imagine denying a request for a 'Friend" but ya know.. that person is entitled to that, such as we are. They have their views, you have yours and I have my own.
I do totally understand, but hey.... whatcha gonna do, we can't change it, it is how it is.
I love to have other peoples points of views, experiences, what they have lived, how they have loved.. I love people, there are sooo many different thing out there we have not experienced ourselves, so if someone does not care to add someone.. it's their loss.. maybe our too, but if we have soo much to share it is their loss, don't sweat it.. :)
