Why is sunday made a public holiday and not any other day of the week? A day off during the week is not equivalent to a free sunday. It gives no opportunity for attending church or for family reunion. Only sundays make it possible for everyone to have a rest from 6 days of hard work. We are all looking forward to a weekend rest. What is your normal activities for Sundays?

My normal activities are to lounge around the house and maybe spend some time on here with mylot or to play games on the computer, watch tv or cross stitch or even read a good book. We might spend some time in our pool too, just depends on what we feel like doing.

Sunday is made special because of Christian traditions that say "0n the seventh day He rested" when God created the world. It is also one of the "ten commandments" that we keep the Sabbath day holy, and use it to worship God. Not every Christian takes this as seriously as the next, but it has come to be known in Christian countries that Sunday is a "special day."

sundays are really so important to us because it's a family day. but who will be the happiest person in the house, my wife. because i'm hers on through the day. she can do whatever she wants to do with me and whatever she wants me to do. besides being a family day, sunday is also their daddy's day. most of sundays, i am becoming a houseband.

For some people sunday is much more restful than it is for others. For instance, in my family even though it is supposed to be a day of rest, it is generally spent working at the church all day. Really, for most of them, its not any rest. I do not go to church with them, instead, I enjoy sleeping in, catching up on a few chores around the house, watching movies, and reading.
