You see some people who are so hateful and rude...then they turn to god to help them through ! Thats funny...I know everyone isnt perfect and sometimes we make stupid mistakes and ask god to help us..but some people exspect god to listen to their needs and prayers after all what they've done to hurt or mistreat people..GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY ! something i've been hearing since two and still hearing it today ! It also amazes me how quickly people become "with christ over night" this is a growing thing..you have to get to know god...talk to god...not just try to prove to people you're saved...thats all a game !!! when you're talking about jesus , you're talking serious..
how many of you feel like this ?

Yup, how fast people turn to God, once some misfortune happens in their lives. I suppose all of us need a faith or belief to rely on.
Christianity has been misinterpreted very much by humans; and the misread messages are passed on. Many people feel that it's all a sham - like you said, this person has done great harm to someone else, just by accepting Christ, he's saved, salvaged or whatever, because God forgives. So does that mean that a murderer can be saved by Christ, and then continue killing people? He is absolved of any wrongdoings, and go to heaven - is this what it meant? This is the message being understood by others!
I believe in God and Christ, but I do feel very tired of having to explain away the misconceptions. So I would remain within my beliefs, and live as a person should 'Do unto others, what you would others do unto you' or 'Live and Let Live'.

Thanks a lot lazeebee...Finally i have someone on Mylot that understand..you are correct....when you decide to kill someone, think your not going to get caught...then you get caught...what do you do ? Ask god to forgive you ? I sure he understands that you're sorry but thats not a godly thing to do...and you see people in jail and prison whom try to turn their lives around..thats cool and find but it cant happen over not..it takes time and you have to work to it...god understands each and everyone of our prayers but that doesnt mean you can kill someone and get away with it by god..he see's our every move(s)

Whether you is a murderer or rapists and you come to acknowledged that you have done something wrong and repenting God will be there for you. Sinners is what God come for not the righteous. Remember we are all sinners whether you are baptised yes or no. No SIN is bigger than another. Remember all sin spell the same way SIN. It is sad that christian tends to think this way. Forgiveness is divine please remember that.

All I know is that God doesn't chooses who to forgive or not. He always gives us a chance to repent or ask forgiveness if we have done wrong. God loves us all. If there are other people who do that they are accountable to God for all their sins.

The thing here is you have to understand why men are misbehaving. As a teacher, I've learned to accept my children regardless of their naughty tricks and misbehavior. If I can do it, why can't God Himself? After all, Christ did not come here to call the righteous but the sinners.

I certainly try not to feel like you say you do. You are young, you could change your mind later on. We are all God's creations and I believe he listens to us all. I think you are confusing the way we judge each other with the way God judges us. We can be petty and cruel and unforgiving; God is not.
I never taught my daughter that "God don't like ugly." We may not be able to depend on anyone on earth, but we can always depend on God. I think the things we do make Him grieve; I think it makes Him sad and yes, sometimes angry. But I would never think that God would turn his back on any of us. He loves us and wants only the best for us; we learn from our mistakes and our suffering. It's the way we are made.
You don't think that someone could become "with Christ over night?" What timetable to you think that Jesus has? "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." —John 3:16
There is nothing complicated about being saved. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." —Romans 10:13 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him." —Revelation 3:20 "Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:30-31
Humans have tried to make it more complicated than it is. But Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV).
7:3 "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"
Matthew:7:4 "Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?"
7:5 "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
That's how I feel. :)

Ummm well we have different views on this so thats how u feel then thats you....god doesnt like ugly is something we all should know and im not telling you to teach it to your child. People do change and i know god loves us for us and he wouldnt dare turn his back on any of us , but bascially i was saying its funny how people act like they are so holy then thou but are so mean and rude and turn their noses to people whom are not like them...god accepts everyone no matter who they are..so if you believe in god then you should believe in accepting everyone too no matter what !

Well you are right, mean and nasty people at times do run to God but guess what....this is what God wants. Now don't get me wrong, God doesn't want us to come to him when we are in trouble only or to ask for a quick fix to a money problem. God wants us to comet to him for when we are doing good too. He wants a relationship with all of his children. The awesome, wonderful thing about God is that no matter what we do, he still loves us and let's admit it, we don't always give him the glory that he so much deserves.
To God be the glory and praise always britzsofly because our God is a good God!!

I do not feel like this. I am glad that Jesus Christ and his father God is not like us human. Imprefect because it would be woeful to us if they were like you. God know that we are imprefect that is the reason he send Jesus Christ to shed his blood so that through him we are save. No matter what we do there is Christ to plea on our behaviour. Yes in all what we have done, we want Jesus Christ to listen and make supplication on our behave. God is good and because of this we are glad that he is there for us.
All the best.

God, Religion are all man made concepts - tales built around common people to glorify them, to deify them. Religion and God are are useful psychological crutches to rely on in times of distress, and which can be good overall for humanity, because it makes humans more 'humane', more responsible to some extent. It can also be bad, because in the name of new found religion, the finder could commit atrocities believing that he/she/it is doing God's work by harming others.
That there is a creator is something that I accept truly and completely, but that he/she/it has made us in his/her/its own image is something that I am skeptical about - maybe some other higher intelligence has been made in the creator's image?
All religions in this world are too human centric, the Gods all have human tendencies and behavior - all the Gods have human attributes of reward and punishment - of heaven and hell.
I think the creator has (directly or indirectly through evolution) imparted us with a mind and a body to overcome crisis or at least attempt to overcome. One of the responses of the human minds is to create crutch and lean on it and survive.
No offense intended. I am not a creationist, not a Christian, not a Buddhist, not a Muslim, not a Jain or Sikh, I am just a human.
