Do we need to go beyond the 3 R's

As long as our culture continues to have the mind set that we are the center of the world will the good old reduce reuse and recycle be enough? There are people out there like Daniel Quinn (auther of Ishmael) Who believe that we need to change our way of seeing the world and the way we do business. He suggest a much more tribal approach to business instead of having the oversized corperations. Instead of buying bread from walmart how about going to your lacal mom and pop store. What do you have to add to the three R's? Mine is buy local.
