sure why not. I told my boyfriend on Monday I was gonna get married on Friday. That was 7 years ago and he is now my husband. We were married on Friday, August 13, 1999.
good luck

I think that a woman can propose if she wants to. Nothing wrong with it at all. I kinda proposed to my fiance. I put the idea on the table and asked what he thought. We never did an offical thing though. We just decided to do it. LOL Our whole relationship has been that way though. Make a decision and follow through.

I definetly feel that if a woman feels she is at a point in her relationship where she feels they are both ready to get married and it happens her partner hasnt asked then she should go ahead and take the bull by the horns and ask. I think previous generations of women were for the most part expected to sit back and receive only what was offered to them they were not supposed to go after what they wanted, they were not supposed to be aggresive about their needs and wants and i think we need to do that now, if we want something we have just as much right to go after it a man does. and if he says no then either the timings not right for him and this could lead to better understanding between the couple of excatly where the relationship is and where it is going, or mayby he just doesnt want to marry her in which case i still think its good because at least she will know and can move on and hopefully find the person that she was meant to be with.

I think a women can do or say anything she wants. I wouldn't ask someone to marry me,if I didn't know they loved me and would say yes though.

Well, Britney Spears did it, and look where she ended up? with a he-capris wife beater wearing money vacuum.
Now they are getting divorced. I guess every situation is different. Now if a lesbian couple is together, which one is supposed to ask? they are both girls? Or perhaps 2 gay men together? Just a question to ponder to further the discussions :)

I think a woman can, but I would never do it. I know sometimes men can be slow about things, but I really want the man to propose to me. I just wouldn't feel right doing it. I don't even like asking guys out on dates. Hahaha...I must be a little old fashioned. I just find the idea of a man proposing more romantic. However, I have friends (who are girls) and have done the asking out and proposing and it has gone well for them. I guess it depends on your personality and your relationship.

I dont think there is anything wrong with it at all, alot of men before if they do the asking instead of the woman i spose it is just tradition but i dont see anything wrong at all with the woman asking if thats what she wants to do then i say go for it!
