Could you ever abandon your pet?

No I could not go off and leave any of my pets. Some people when they don't want their fish flush them. Not me I gave mine to a family with kids that loved watching them everytime they came to my house. I could never go off and leave my dogs. That is why they have shelters so people do not have any excuses to go off and leave their four legged animal members to roam and fend for themselves.

NO WAY!! I have 3 cats and a dog and if the slightest thing is wrong with them I FREAK OUT so I can not imagine EVER abandoning them. It would be like someone telling me to abandon my children.

No. I could not even think of that. When my rabbits were infected with some deadly form of skin rash - my family members told me to set them free - but I took all the care that I could have done, and one of them recovered but the other one did not. Anyway, I did my best till his last breathe and never let to die all alone.

Abandoning my pet is certainly something that could never happen! My cat is only the best friend I've ever had!! Plus, she's so sweet! I could never do such a thing! I know it may sound crazy to some people, but I definitely treat my pets like they're members of the family, and to anyone who throws their pet out for any reason... well, shame on them! These same people surely have family members, even children who they love... when you take in a pet, you take on the responsibility for caring for it and giving it a good home... it's something I take very seriously. I am certainly not an animal rights activist or anything of the sort, however, I hate seeing people abuse their pets in such a way!

Ok number 1...a 44 pound cat? Garfield definitely needed to be on a kitty diet. I could never abandon my pet, I would feel horrible about myself. If there were circumstances where I could not have a pet I would try to find a new owner for him or her but if I couldn't the Human Society would be my next option. These pets depend on humans for survival so if they are abandoned somewhere they would probably not make it. I hope no one ever decides to do this to their pet!

Hi there! Yes I've heard about that story. Poor cat being abondaoned by its owner. Me, I couldn't do that to my 2 pets. Even if they sometimes really gets annoying and is hard to take care of them I will not abandon them, ever. I love my pets so much that I have accepted all the responsibilities of taking care of them like my own children.

No, I could never look into the eyes of my two cats and my little dog and let them down like that. They depend on me and my husband and that's a responsibility that our hearts take very seriously.
