i have noticed so many people giving up their dreams whether in career or any aspects of their lives for love. would you do it? or would you try to balance things out?

hi, shiloh..
When my eldest was born with a slight physical abnormality, I know I had to give up my job..I love my job, but I so love my son the most...
I know that I wont be able to work anymore outside of the house because no one would take care of him just like what I do until now..i wouldn't want to leave him with the nanny because he was so fragile and was really a handful when he was little..If he falls and breaks a bone even just a hairline, he would be paralyzed and would have to use the wheelchair just to go around..And no parent would like that, im sure..
So, my job and career would have to take the backseat..And i don't care much about working outside anymore because my son needs me the most and I would gladly do anything to make his life easier and normal..

Yeah. That is a common occurrence, but I have to say that I would make sure that I follow my dreams. If someone really loves me, they wouldn't ask me hang back or stop doing what I love. Then I think I would be able to be good at both of them. Although I have to say that sometimes in some situations it's a very difficult dilemma to face and the person who has to face such a situation is in a great problem. I just have to feel lucky that I have not come across that situation in my life yet.

I think its easy to give up hopes and dreams without realising you've done it because you can lose sight of your goals when you're distracted and your priorities change. Its only when you realise that you are not where you want to be in your life that it becomes obvious.
