Farve reinstated

Well, as you most certainly know the Packers traded Favre. But when he was reinstated, I was almost sure that the Packers would open up a Quarterback competition between him and Rodgers. I was shocked by the news of his trade, and while I was disappointed, I have always been high on Aaron Rodgers, so I really like the Pack's chances this year with the defense being so good and Ryan Grant being amazing.

I responded to your discussion last week, and since then, Brett became a Jet! I also wanted to say that Brett Swain did get to play almost the whole third quarter! He did pretty well! Not bad for a seventh round pick!

I think the Packers are going to take him back. They aren't going to get enough out of a trade to make it worth the effort. And, I don't think it really ever was a question of them not wanting him back. I think they were just concerned that, if he did come back, he wasn't going to commit himself 100 percent.

The Packers offered him the position of second quarterback, but he doesn't want it. Favre has whined and cried wolf as far as his retirement from the Packers goes for the last few years. Fans are fed up, even though some would like to see him back. They had a rally at the stadium for fans who want him back, and only 1000 showed up...That's not many for that football town! If he does come back, Brett Swain won't have a chance at starting wide receiver. He's my stepsister's son. I'd love to see Brett on the field!
